Power Rankings #1

Commentary

It has been a full Calander year since the Power Rankings have been posted, and it is great to see teams who were last in the rankings (such as Vancouver, Sacramento and Augusta; Season 46's Detroit Motors)  a-top the leaderboard.

Salem Witch Hunts - One of the most consistently run teams in the league, Auggie finds himself among the top ten once more. Fueled by a young fantastic core of International players such as Player Profile: Gabriel Diaz - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports Player Profile: Tony Solano - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports Player Profile: Ramon Ogawa - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports and grizzly veterans such as Player Profile: Brandon Reuschel - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports . Salem has a tough road ahead with match ups against the Pilots and two series against Atlanta.

Vancouver Hikers - A bottom dweller just a few short seasons ago, top ten draftees such as Player Profile: Colt Walker - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports and Player Profile: Cliff Quirarte - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports have made their big-league debut and has helped propel Vancouver atop the AL West. The Hikers young roster will be facing off against El Paso and Tampa before setting off on a grueling 4 series sets against 3 top ten ranked teams.

Jackson Generals - The reigning World Series Champs have found themselves at the bottom of the NL South. The Generals have been able to skirt by against average teams but find themselves being swept by top tier competition such as Sacramento, Richmond and Augusta. There is still plenty of time to right the ship. But the answer might be a trade or two away since the current roster looks awfully similar to last seasons.

Augusta Frozen Kennebecs - The Kennebecs have been able to take advantage of a relatively easy schedule thus far, having only faced 2 .500+ teams (won both series) Augusta top 5 ranked pitching staff has been carrying the work load, Anchored by veterans Player Profile: Cliff Tracy - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports (.221 OAV/2.77 ERA) and Player Profile: Ender Aquino - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports (.179 OAV/1.69 ERA) , and with younger talent such as Player Profile: Santiago Cerveza - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports (Batting .411/.438/.656) and Player Profile: Eli Despaigne - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports (.232 OAV/3.88 ERA). With Augusta's relatively favorable schedule, look to them to continue their streak atop the board.
