Commentary
Risers
The Houston Colt 45's jumped an incredible 15 spots after winning nine of their last 10, including a five-game win streak to close out the season's first half. They enter the break at 42-49 and 10 games back of the division lead.
The Scranton Schrutes had an equally impressive leap, rising 14 spots to No. 2 on the strength of an eight-game win streak that has propelled them to just one game back of the Philadelphia Penn Quakers in the NL East, who dropped one spot to No. 3 in this week's rankings.
The Indianapolis Swinging Hoosiers rose five spots to number 20 after winning seven of 10, but remain seven games under .500 and nine games out of first place in the AL East.
Fallers
The Scottsdale Dirtbags have had a rough couple of weeks and in the midst of a six-game losing streak which has seem them fall 16 spots from No. 6 in the last poll to No. 22 today. They're now three games under .500 and 17 games back of perennial favorite Anaheim Anteaters, the No. 1 team in today's rankings.
The Helena Roughnecks dropped 10 spots to No. 23 after dropping seven of 10. Helena, who has a 28-18 record on the road but just a 14-31 record at home, will look to make a statement as it starts the second half with two road series against division leader Salem Witch Hunts and the struggling Boise Potatoes, No. 32 in this week's ranking.
Trenton jakes jokers dropped from No. 3 in the last ranking all the way No. 12 today after dropping their last five heading into the break. They remain 11 games over .500 and in prime position for a Wild Card berth.
